LaSalle, July 29, 2019 – Until August 20, 2019, Culture en cavale is presenting a wealth of events and activities of all kinds: music, dance and theatre are just a few of the cultural outings in store for LaSalle residents. All free of charge and taking place in various parks throughout the Borough.
Here is the Culture en cavale program for this week:
Tuesday, July 30, 2019 LA FABLE MÉCANIQUE LES PAS SORTABLE Parc Jeannotte 7 p.m. – 30 min. For 6-year-olds and over
A human fable with robots. An endearing and brutal story. In this world of machines, everyone shares the same goal: to follow the arrow and cross over to the other side of The Door. The main human themes are featured: power, love, cooperation, manipulation, exploitation. A fable about living together and the quest for happiness.
Thursday, August 1, 2019 MEASURE FOR MEASURE SHAKESPEARE-IN-THE-PARK Parc Marie-Claire-Kirkland-Casgrain 7 p.m. – 120 min.
Presented in English. Power. Corruption. Morality and Justice. It's not easy to keep your soul in a merciless world. Written 400 years ago, this black comedy by Shakespeare could just as easily have been taken from today's front-page headlines. With a company of ten great actors and set designs, this comical and provocative play will get the audience talking from the park to their homes.
