Saint-Laurent, March 14, 2019 –On Sunday, April 14, the 27th Edition of the Course Saint-Laurent will take place. The event is very popular among elite runners in Québec for its fast routes, which are included in the Circuit endurance. Runners of all ages are invited to run through the Bois-Franc and industrial sectors in one of the races being held, specifically 1, 2, 5 and 10 km. The organizing committee will award prizes to the winners of the last two events. What's more, as is the case every year, the Défi scolaire and the Défi corporatif will also take place, allowing residents to enter with their school or company team. This event is organized by the Club d'athlétisme Saint-Laurent Sélect inc. in collaboration with the Borough of Saint-Laurent and is sanctionned by the Fédération québécoise d'athlétisme.
On this occasion, certain streets in the Bois-Franc sector will be closed. In case of emergency on race day, residents may refer to one of the volunteers on-site. Furthermore, parking will be prohibited on select streets from noon on Friday, April 12. Special signs will be erected.
Access and exit routes
It will be possible to access and exit through the race perimeter in a controlled manner at the following location:Boulevard Alexis-Nihon and Rue de l'Acajou intersection from Boulevard Alexis-Nihon northbound.
An activity for the whole family
This is an excellent activity to enjoy as a family because even toddlers can enter the 1 km category. Furthermore, parents are welcome to drop their children off at the free on-site daycare.
The business community is once again invited to participate in the race by entering teams in the Défi corporatif for a fee of $25 to $5 per runner, according to category. The registration deadline is March 1, at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online preferential rate until April 11
Participants can register online until April 11 for a fee of $10 to $35, according to age and category on the following site: www.circuitendurance.ca. Participants can also register on race morning at the starting line or at the Municipal Workshop, located at 13001, boulevard Cavendish (accessible via Bus Route 171 West). The on-site fee will however increase to $15 to $40 according to age and category.
