LaSalle, February 12, 2019 - A few months ago, Boys and Girls Club of LaSalle, an independent community organization, discontinued its activities among the residents of LaSalle. In light of this situation, the Borough made every necessary legal effort to take possession of the building at 8600 rue Hardy, where the organization was located. Following all due legal recourse, the Borough has now officially become the owner of the building and is actively studying ways to restore a similar offer of services.
Evening discussion meeting: March 27, 2019 In order to offer, as quickly as possible, a service that meets residents' expectations and needs, the Borough is organizing a discussion meeting on Wednesday evening, March 27. This event will be an opportunity for residents to share their ideas and wishes with us. Details of this evening will be announced to you shortly.
A meeting will then be organized with community organizations that want to discuss a possible partnership to manage the centre. The terms of an operating agreement (management, funding, schedule, etc.) are currently being developed and will be forwarded to interested organizations at the appropriate time.
The Borough is aware of the important role that the Boys and Girls Club of LaSalle played in the community. Rest assured that every effort is being made to reopen the facility as soon as possible.
