Saint-Laurent, September 13, 2018 – Saturday, September 29 will mark the 26th edition of the Course Saint-Laurent, which was cancelled in April due to the weather. As in past years, this popular sporting event invites participants of all ages to run through the Bois-Franc and industrial sectors for 1, 2, 5 and 10 km races.
Included in the Circuit Endurance comprising a series of events from February to October, this meet is organized by the Club d'athlétisme Saint-Laurent Sélect inc. in collaboration with the Borough of Saint-Laurent and sanctioned by the Fédération québécoise d'athlétisme.
For this occasion, several streets in the Bois-Franc sector will be closed. In the event of an emergency on race day, residents will be able to consult one of the on-site volunteers. Furthermore, parking will be prohibited on select streets from noon on Friday, September 28. Signs will be erected to this effect.
Entry and exit points Entry and exit points around the race perimeter will be controlled at the following location: intersection of Boulevard Alexis-Nihon and Rue de l'Acajou, coming from Boulevard Alexis-Nihon northbound.
Family activity This is an excellent family activity with even the youngest runners can participate in the 1 km category. Moreover, parents are welcome to have their children supervised at the free on-site daycare.
Corporate challenge The business community is once again invited to participate in the race by registering teams for the corporate challenge at a cost of $25 to $35 per runner, depending on the category. Participants must register no later than September 21 at the following address: email@example.com.
Preferential online rate until September 27 Participants may register online until 1 p.m. on September 27, at a cost of $10 to $35 based on age and category on the http://www.circuitendurance.ca/en/ website. It will also be possible to register on-site on the morning of the event at the starting line at the Municipal Workshop, located at 13001, boulevard Cavendish (accessible by bus route 171 West). The fee charged on-site will however be increased to between $15 and $40 based on age and category.
