Saint-Laurent, February 13, 2018 - One the weekend of February 9, 10 and 11, Saint-Laurent families were invited to celebrate the magic of winter at the 25th edition of the Féerie d'hiver.
A true Saint-Laurent tradition, the event featured many activities. On Friday evening, the public was invited to skate on the ice path at Parc Beaudet to a lively musical soundscape. On Saturday, the creation of snow sculptures attracted enthusiasts to Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse.
Finally, on Sunday, the “Circus and Funfair” theme unfolded all day. Hundreds of people took part in games and activities at Parc Gohier. Both the young and the young-at-heart enjoyed horse-drawn carriage rides, played skill games during the bustling fair, took part in circus workshops and bounced on inflatable structures, all while sipping hot chocolate. It was a wonderful celebration that aptly underscored the 25th Anniversary of this yearly event!
"Our weekend Féerie winter carnival is an event not to be missed by the Saint-Laurent community. Families get together—grown-ups and children alike—all taking advantage of the joys of winter. Our Administration is glad to offer our residents these activity-packed days, which provide Saint-Laurent residents with wonderful opportunities for fresh air and fun combined," Mayor Alan DeSousa was pleased to mention.
