« Par un côté des choses » : Sylvie Bouchard at Centre d'exposition Lethbridge

The Borough of Saint-Laurent and the Centre d'exposition Lethbridge will have the pleasure of welcoming Sylvie Bouchard's Par un côté des choses exhibition, January 25 – March 25, 2018.

The Par un côté des choses exhibition as well as its catalogue present Sylvie Bouchard's works created over the past ten years. The large pictorial installation entitled Trois coups sous les arbres, completed in 2008, is placed in dialogue here along with the artist's more recent productions and, in particular, with the Fontainebleau and Lieux fables series.

The works exhibited depict a world that appears both poetic and theatrical. Drawing their inspiration from the exhibition space, Sylvie Bouchard's paintings illustrate abstract landscapes, halfway between nature and architecture. The fabulous characters that the artist features prompt visitors to wonder about what they are seeing.
