Saint-Laurent, December 7, 2017 - On December 1, members of Saint-Laurent council marked the completion of the colourful painting that is enhancing the wall of Brasserie l'Unik, located along boulevard Décarie. This untitled work of art was created last fall by Cyndie Belhumeur, represented by the MU organization.
The mural juxtaposes geometric and organic shapes to create a real patchwork of vibrant colours. There we see a woman with a hidden glance—a reference to the inner life and to all that we perceive other than through our eyes. The numerous geometric shapes also forming part of the painting illustrate the main character's thoughts and also represents the cultural diversity that characterizes the Borough.
The wall murals in Saint-Laurent This is the third wall mural created in partnership with MU. The other works of art are: All it takes is a little heart, by OMEN, at the corner of Beaudet and Décarie, and Engloutie byRafael Sottolichio, at the corner of Rue Du Collège and Avenue Sainte-Croix. A fourth mural, entitled l'Envol, created by artist Dodo Ose de A'shop, graces the wall of the Décarie hot dog restaurant.
