Launching of the Campaign "Buy local, a better quality of life while encouraging your local businesses!"
4 octobre 2017
Montréal, le 4 octobre 2017 - Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Mayor of the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, is proud to launch the Borough's brand new campaign to support retail and service businesses on its territory. This campaign is intended to encourage residents to "think local" for their shopping and service needs.
The idea of conducting this campaign to support local businesses ties in with the 2015-2018 Strategic Plan, which emphasizes the importance of creating dynamic, prosperous living environments and comes within Council's will to improve the services offered to residents.
Beyond the municipal and community services in Pierrefonds-Roxboro, the services offered by local businesses are equally important. The purpose of this campaign is to support those women and men who work so hard to serve the residents in their neighbourhood and create a living environment around their local business.
"Supporting local retail and service businesses is important to our economy and to our living environment. I encourage all residents to "think local" for their shopping and service needs all throughout the year. In fact, the theme of this campaign reaching out to residents is "Buy local, a better quality of life while encouraging your local businesses!" and I feel it will prove very successful," commented Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Mayor of Pierrefonds-Roxboro and member of Ville de Montréal Executive Committee responsible for Procurement, Sports and Recreation and Communities of diverse origins.
There are nearly 500 retail and service businesses in Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
