In Saint-Laurent, the School Break Week Passport Is Lots of Fun!
22 février 2016
Saint-Laurent will be offering youngsters some thirty different cultural and sports activities during School Break Week, February 27 – March 6. Some of these activities will be held on several days. A plastic arts workshop, shows, cake-making, public swimming with special themes, a movie lunch, skating, gymnastics aplenty, video games, board games and more are all in store. In short, there will be something for every taste!
These activities, most of which are free, will be taking place at various locations: Aréna Raymond-Bourque, Bibliothèque du Boisé, Bibliothèque du Vieux-Saint-Laurent, Centre des loisirs, Mini-bibliothèque de Chameran, YMCA Saint-Laurent, etc.
So that youngsters can take their pick, they can obtain their School Break Week Passport (Passeport de la semaine de relâche) at one of the two libraries, at Borough Hall or at the Centre des loisirs. This program of activities can also be downloaded from Saint-Laurent's Internet site (ville.montreal.qc.ca/saint-laurent), in the "Publications" section on the Home page.
For each activity in which they participate, a seal will be placed on the youngsters' passport, for a chance to win a prize in a drawing that will be held during the week of March 7. To enter the drawing, they will have to drop off their duly completed passport at their school, at the Centre des loisirs or at Saint-Laurent Borough Hall, before 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 6.

Another activity has been added to the program: March 2-6, Jeux de detective, in connection with the Faux semblants exhibition, during the opening hours of the Centre d'exposition Lethbridge. Youngsters who take part in this activity will earn bonus points on their passport!
Parents may also register their 6-12-year-olds in the day camp at the Centre des loisirs, for the week of February 29 – March 4 (excluding Tuesday, March 1). As usual, the camp leaders have prepared a fun-filled program, alternating between indoor and outdoor activities. The camp fees are $104 per child, with an option of an additional $24 for extended supervision. Registration online on the Loisirs en ligne Internet site or at the front desk of the Centre des loisirs. See the press release.
