Day camp for school break week: Fun Activities for 6-12-Year-Olds
20 janvier 2016
Starting now, parents may register their children for the day camp organized by the Borough of Saint-Laurent during school break week, February 29 – March 4, 2016. The camp, which is held at the Centre des loisirs de Saint-Laurent, is open to 6-12-year-olds. In previous years, some 120 youngsters took part in this school break camp.
As usual, the camp counsellors have prepared a fun-filled program for their campers, alternating indoor with outdoor activities. Here is a bird's-eye view of the program, with its theme of the abominable snowman!
Monday, February 29: Games (theme: the abominable ice sculpture contest)
Wednesday, March 2: Tube sledding—an outing to Mont Avila
Thursday, March 3: Outing to the sugar shack in Saint-Anne-des-Plaines
Friday, March 4: Pool at YMCA Saint-Laurent, and then games (theme: Hunt for the abominable snowman)
However, the camp will be closed on Tuesday, March 1, due to a possible walkout on the part of Ville de Montréal's municipal employees.
The camp fees are $104 per child. A day care service is also offered, at a cost of an additional $24 per child.
The camp schedule is 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and day care is available 7:15 a.m. - 9 a.m. as well as 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Parents may register their children for this camp either on the Loisirs en ligne Internet site (ville.montreal.qc.ca/saint-laurent/loisirsenligne) or at the front desk of the Centre des loisirs de Saint-Laurent, located at 1375 rue Grenet.
