After being ignited in Olympia, Greece, in an age-old ceremony, the Olympic Torch crossed the Atlantic by plane and arrived in Canada on October 30. Its journey will come to an end in Vancouver at the opening ceremony for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. This is the longest Olympic Torch Relay that has ever taken place within the same country. The torch will be in Montréal on December 9 and 10.
