The Prix Paul-Buissonneau honours the exceptional contribution of an individual, an amateur theatre company, a school or an organization to the development of Montréal’s amateur theatre.

Application submission
The Prix Paul-Buissonneau is awarded in two categories: Individual and Organization.
Award winners in the individual category will receive a certificate honouring their contribution to the development of amateur theatre in Montréal. They will also receive a bursary of $200.
Award winners in the organization category will receive a certificate honouring their contribution to the development of amateur theatre in Montréal. They will also receive a bursary of $300.
Individuals and organizations may submit their own application or nominate another individual or organization. Simply fill out the application form and send it to the following address by March 31, 2009:

The panel of judges
The panel is composed of three judges: a representative from the Fédération québécoise de théâtre amateur, a representative from Sport et loisir de l’île de Montréal and a city cultural development officer.
Partners
Since 2007, the Prix Paul-Buissonneau has been awarded in partnership with the organization Sport et loisir de l’île de Montréal and is presented at the regional volunteer recognition ceremony. The ceremony will take place on May 21, 2009.
