Local improvements are infrastructure
projects that serve to upgrade or develop some sector of the city.
Such work tends to focus on water mains, sewer lines, buried pipes,
streetlamps and the paving of streets, alleys, curbs and
sidewalks.
Property owners who benefit from such
work pay a local improvement tax to reimburse in whole or in part
the cost of the loans that financed such
projects.
Please check the list of residential
projects appearing under the “Local Improvement Tax” heading on our Web site. Please
note that projects for which some part of the work is incomplete or
that have not been invoiced for more than three years may not
appear. Please contact us if you cannot find a
project on the list.
