Outdoor pools

Kent poolThe borough’s two outdoor pools (Confederation, 6265, avenue Biermans, 514 872-1125) and Kent (6262, chemin Hudson, 514 872-4697) will be open for the summer from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting on Saturday, June 13. Admission is free at all times, even on weekends and holidays.

Someone is on hand to answer calls at the two outdoor pools only during the summer. Before they open, please call the borough Direction de la culture, des sports, des loisirs et du développement social if you have any questions. Telephone: 311.

Hours are subject to change from one pool to another and depend on the weather and number of users.

2009: Outdoor pools dates will be extended.

Wading Pools

Wading poolFour of the borough’s ten wading pools will be opening on Saturday, June 13, and the rest on June 20.

Borough wading pools are reserved for children ages 8 and under. Bathing suits must be worn. Children ages three and four must be supervised by a responsible person at least 16 years old. There must be at least one supervisor for every three children. Children under age three may not go in the water unless they are supervised at all times by a responsible person at least 16 years old. There must be at least one supervisor for each child of this age.

Water play modules

Water play modulesNotre-Dame-de-Grâce (Sherbrooke and Girouard), Mackenzie King (Westbury and Saint-Kevin) and Jean Brillant (Jean-Brillant and Decelles) parks have very popular water play modules, accessible starting in late May or even earlier, weather permitting. The recently renovated area in Jean Brillant Park, however, will not be ready until June.

Out of respect for users' privacy, no cameras of any kind are allowed at the borough's aquatic facilities.

SPLISH SPLASH Waterfest
Loads of family fun!

SPLISH SPLASHThe annual Splish Splash waterfest is back. The fun event for young borough families will be held simultaneously at the Confederation Park and Kent Park swimming pools, on Sunday, August 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be music, inflatable games, supervised activities and other surprises. A number of picnic tables will be available near the pools, for those who want to bring lunch.

The Confederation Park swimming pool is located at the corner of Biermans and Kensington avenues, in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. The Kent Park swimming pool is located at the corner of avenue de Kent and chemin Hudson, in Côte-des-Neiges.

The event will be cancelled if it rains.
