 | If you have reasonable grounds to believe that your
municipal rights have been, or are likely to be, adversely affected, it is
straightforward and simple to ask the Ombudsman de Montréal to intervene on your behalf.
The Ombudsman de Montréal is, however,
a last resort recourse. Therefore, before turning to the Ombudsman de
Montréal, please make sure
that you have submitted your request to the director of the concerned department
or borough, preferably in writing, asking that the situation be rectified.
To request the intervention of the Ombudsman de
Montréal , you must provide:
- Your name, address and telephone number;
- The names and contact information of the other
persons concerned, when applicable;
- The name of borough or department concerned;
- Your file number in this borough or department, if you know
it;
- The nature of the problem for which you request the
Ombudsman de Montréal 's intervention;
- The details on all the steps you have previously taken to try to
resolve this problem;
- The names, titles and contact information of all Ville
de Montréal representatives you have dealt with, if you know them; and
- A copy of all the correspondence and documents related to your complaint.
