Application for review
You may apply for an administrative review of the valuation of your property. Since a sum of money(1), which is not refundable, is applicable to this process, you must have serious reasons to believe that your property was not assessed correctly. It is recommended to inquire about the selling price of similar properties in your neighbourhood. Following a request for revision, the assessor will communicate his written answer to you and, if the decision is made to change the assessment of your property, will modify the assessment roll accordingly.
To apply for an administrative revision, you must fill out the form "Application for review of the real estate assessment roll ". Once completed, the form must be forwarded either by registered mail with the non-refundable required sum of money or in person at the following offices of the Service de l'évaluation foncière, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until noon and from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, except Friday until 4 pm.
