You're a photographer? And you've got Montréal in your sights? Twice every year, the CHM invites you to the photo-research contest Montréal à l'œil. Selected photographs from among those submitted are exhibited at the CHM. Contests are launched twice yearly, in the fall and spring.

27 th edition: Mont-Royal Mountain
From March 13 to June 18, 2006
In 2006, Mount Royal Park will be celebrating its 130th anniversary. In honour of this occasion, the Centre d'histoire de Montréal is organizing its annual photography contest on the theme of "The Trails and Pathways of Mount Royal Park." Cherished by Montrealers and tourists alike, Mount Royal Park abounds with themes that lend themselves to marvellous photographs.
28 th edition: Old Montréal Revisited
From September 25 to November 5, 2006
Cradle of the city, Old Montréal today is one of Montréal's top tourist attractions. Thousands of tourists travel through it every year and take their photos back with them. Have a look for yourself at Old Montréal and photograph its rich heritage.

Montréal's music places and spaces
The Centre d'histoire de Montréal will be teaming up with the Quebec Musician's Guild, celebrating its centennial, in order to immortalize the places devoted to rock, jazz, classical, blues or folk music and people who make it. There is no lack of places where musicians from here and elsewhere train and perform.
The winning pictures and a selection of finalist are presented from January 24 to July 9, 2006 .
