Population Study of L'Île-des-Soeurs – August 2011

The Borough is presenting the report from demographer Norbert Robitaille on elementary school population estimates in the L'Île-des-Soeurs neighbourhood. This report confirms that real estate developments from 2006 to 2011 don't seem to account for the substantial growth in the school population recorded by L'Île-des-Soeurs elementary school. The increase in the number of pupils has mainly been noted in the older areas of the neighbourhood.

Moreover, based on the information obtained from Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB) school board, only 105 students out of 945, as of September 30, 2011, come from the new areas of real estate development—that is, from Pointe Sud (starting from rue Hall).
