Site Development and Architectural Integration Plan (PIIA)

By specifying certain project categories to be assessed at the time an application is submitted for a permit or a certificate, the borough can ensure the quality of the site plan and of the architectural integration, based on the features of each request.

The project assessment process is based on discretionary rather than standardized criteria and seeks to achieve innovative and customized solutions as part of an open process of give and take between the borough and the applicant. This applies, for instance, to the construction and demolition of a main building, to visible expansion of a public roadway other than a lane, to new commercial signs located on rue Wellington and rue de l’Église, etc.
