Bike Paths

The borough of Verdun has an exceptional network of bike paths. A bike ride is an excellent way to visit the neighbourhoods, buildings and monuments that play central roles in Verdun's history. Unwind along the magnificent banks of the St. Lawrence River. Cross the river to rustic L'Île-des-Soeurs neighbourhood with the woods and parklands that have proven such delights to nature lovers.

Verdun has some 25 km of bike paths, 9.5 km of footpaths and 15 km of shoreline. The path has been widened along the riverbanks to give hikers the same space as cyclists and rollerbladers.

Path lighting makes them usable at night, while a security patrol ensures safety at all times.
