Parkings - Parking for People with Disability
You wish a parking bay for a person with disability near your residence? If

documents:
- A copy of your SAAQ sticker.
- A copy of the SAAQ certificate that was delivered with the sticker.
- Proof of residence (electric or telephone bill, tax bill, etc.).
- Copy of a medical certificate signed by a physician. This certificate must
confirm the person's condition - a proof that the person can't walk on a
distance of more than 50 m.
- Contact information for the recipient (full address and telephone number).
- Contact information for the applicant if different from the recipient.

If, however, the application is rejected, the applicant will be contacted
within a month of its submission. If you have already an entry of garage or
front, back court or on a side of your residence, but that it is impossible for
you to go up or get out of your vehicle, you can make a request for a
parking place for a person with disability on the public road.
The sticker
The Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) has since June 1997
been the sole administrator of the parking sticker issuance and vehicle
modification program for disabled persons.
Previously, the Office des
personnes handicapées du Québec had been involved in administering this
process. Only the removable sticker, which should be hung from the rear-view
mirror, has been maintained to better respond to user needs.
To obtain a disabled parking form, please contact or go to an SAAQ service
centre, a regional Office des personnes handicapées du Québec or a CLSC.
Rules
- Place your removable sticker on the interior rear-view mirror to ensure it
can be seen from the outside.
- Always observe temporary signs.
