Plumbing work performed inside of buildings has since August 13, 2001 fallen
under the jurisdiction of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).

Plumbing
Furthermore, in an attempt to improve existing plumbing systems of borough
buildings, to protect the health and safety of residents and to avoid property
damage, owners are invited to upgrade their plumbing system by adding
a separate rain conduct and a conductor vent pipe.
Procedure
The permit application must be submitted by the plumbing contractor or by the
building's owner, accompanied by full contact information for the contractor and
the latter's membership number in the Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en
tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ).
