Flyer Distribution

A permit is required in Verdun to distribute flyers, leaflets, announcements, business cards, brochures and all other commercial and non-commercial printed matter.

Useful tips

• Every distributor of such materials shall hold a permit.
• No such documents may be distributed in a public place situated within borough limits.
• No documents may be placed on or in vehicles.
• No documents may be distributed in any abandoned, vacant or unoccupied site, or left on porches, balconies, and verandas or on the lands of private homes or on private property in which a sticker prohibits entry or passage or prohibits flyers, announcements or peddlers.
• If the same person distributes multiple documents at the same time, they must be grouped together within a plastic envelope.
• Documents may only be distributed between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. , any day of the week, including holidays.

Procedure

You may apply for a certificate at the Accès Verdun office, accompanied by :

• A copy of the document to be distributed.
• The number of copies to be distributed.
• The distribution route.
• The dates and times during which distribution is to occur.
