Ragweed

RagweedWorkers responsible for maintaining parks and green spaces systematically rid the borough of ragweed and other weeds.

You must eliminate ragweed of your private property before it blooms in August to prevent it from releasing its pollen. Contact with ragweed does not normally result in skin irritation, so you can uproot it without concern.

It is up to each citizen to destroy and eliminate the small and the large ragweed before their flowering in August. Pulling up remains the method of the simplest eradication and also most ecological. The little root system developed seedling ragweed makes this operation very easy.

For the edges of road and ditch, it is preferable to let push the seedlings until the end of July and to before August 1st, cut them to the short-nap cloth of the ground. The one second shearing at the third week of August will increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

For the strongly broken places and great surfaces of ground, one can as a last resort call upon professionals for the elimination of these bad grasses. The efforts made by the various organizations engaged in this fight to finish against ragweed could be crowned success only insofar as all the citizens take share with the destruction and the elimination of this bad grass.
