Borough Council
Elected Officials
Verdun Borough Council consists of the Borough Mayor, two City Councillors
and four Borough Councillors. It should be noted that the Borough Mayor and the
City Councillors are members of both the Verdun Borough Council and Ville de
Montréal's City Council, whereas the Borough Councillors sit only on Borough
Council.
As it may be recalled, the Borough has two electoral districts:
Champlain-L'Île-des-Soeurs and Desmarchais-Crawford. Each of these districts is
represented by a City Councillor and by two Borough Councillors.
All members of Verdun Borough Council are from the Union Montréal party and
are elected for a 4-year term of office.
