 | Borough's Logo
The symbol consists of a central green and blue escutcheon, which represents vitality, movement, and joy in living and illustrates the environment’s natural components, such as the sun, plant life, the air, the water and the soil. The concentric form of this symbol represents influence and accessibility. The shape of its lower point represents the “V” in Verdun.
The escutcheon sits on a golden base and bears a golden crown, both representing the outstanding quality of the borough’s environment, with its wealth of social, cultural and community resources and family- and safety-oriented quality of its neighbourhoods.
Since its merger with Montréal in 2002, Verdun’s logo has been integrated into the city’s rosette.
