 | Do you know nature parks regulations?
The Direction des parcs et des espaces verts assumes responsibility for protecting those natural environments falling under its authority. This assignment gave rise to a mission of preserving our natural and cultural heritage to ensure that it remains intact for future generations.
New regulations have come into force in nature parks to ensure the protection of natural resources and public safety.
Regular use of developed park sites is accompanied by some deterioration of such environments. Impact is reduced when users observe regulations. If they fail to do so, the site will quickly suffer, due to the introduction of unplanned pathways and the enlargement of existing ones. Such changes will alter the area we are seeking to preserve and are accompanied by changes to plant life that will endure for many years.
Protecting our nature parks
Nature parks represent one of the city's great assets, particularly because of the contributions all residents have made to them.
Other general or special regulations pertaining to practicing activities in the park also apply. For additional information, please speak with reception staff.
