Signe solaire

The work was conceived as a billboard that would run along highways, its ideal location. Displayed in this manner, the sculpture would take on a blazing and fleeting quality in the dazzling light it reflects, and would disappear just as quickly as soon as one went beyond its spatial limitations.

"One must be able to ‘read’ it in less than a second while flying past at 100 miles an hour (…) We no longer have the time to understand, as the message must hit like a bolt of lightning." - Jean Lefébure
