Queen Victoria
(1819-1901)

The grand-daughter of King George III, Victoria I succeeded William IV to become Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, from 1837 to 1901, and Empress of India, from 1876 to 1901. Her reign of nearly 64 years (Victorian period), was marked by the development of the British Empire and the Industrial Revolution, which brought major economic, social and technological changes.
