Verdun’s Local Action Plan for Universal Accessibility

On November 1, 2016, Verdun Mayor Jean-François Parenteau and borough council members unveiled and adopted Verdun’s Local Action Plan for Universal Accessibility. This plan is the fruit of consultations and analyses led in concert with borough employees and organizations specialized in universal accessibility.

The Action Plan is aimed at offering a living environment free of obstacles to all citizens, particularly those who are living with functional limitations. It is geared to citizens experiencing motor, auditory, visual or intellectual difficulties, apparent or not, and to parents with children and strollers who encounter obstacles in transit.
