The Traffic Committee’s main objectives are to reduce the number of accidents and increase safety across the borough while taking into account the needs of various actors, including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and emergency and maintenance vehicle drivers.
The committee is tasked with:
- conducting studies and reporting to borough council concerning all issues related to vehicle traffic and parking, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, as well as road signage and marking operations;
- receiving and reviewing all requests it receives from elected officials or citizens. Each request is subject to a preliminary review by our departments, and the results are then tabled for discussion before the Traffic Committee.
The Traffic Committee is co-chaired by borough councillors Marie-Andrée Mauger and Pierre L'Heureux. Its members fulfil a two-year mandate.
