At Verdun libraries, everyone has access to a multitude of documents and
services.
To become a member of Verdun's libraries, it's free of
charge. However, you must have an Accès Verdun
card in order to benefit from the services
offered there.
If you don't have this card or if it has expired, you may
obtain it for free at the library counter when you go there to
join.

Reserving documents, loans and renewals
You may reserve documents that are currently out on loan. The library will call when the document is returned and you will have three days to come and pick it up.
Users must present an Accès Verdun card whenever they borrow books.
Users may borrow up to 20 documents at one time, of which five can be audiovisual documents and three periodicals. Books are loaned for three weeks and audiovisual documents and periodicals for one week.
Books can be renewed for three weeks, as long as they are not on reserve. Documents cannot be renewed more than once.
Renewals can only be performed at the library.
Renewals are usually for three more weeks. Users must appear with their cards to perform renewals.
Documents on reserve cannot be renewed.
Rental best sellers cannot be renewed.
Fines
Users who return their documents late must pay a fine.
Fines are: 10 cents per day for general adult collection
documents. 5 cents per day for general youth collection
documents. $1 per day for bestsellers. 50 cents per day for video cassettes, CDs and DVDs.
Charges are incurred for lost or damaged documents.
