Saint-Laurent Rewarded by the Association des communicateurs municipaux du Québec

1er juin 2017

On May 25, at its annual conference held in Montréal, the Association des communicateurs municipaux du Québec (ACMQ) awarded the Plume de bronze 2017 to the Borough of Saint-Laurent, in the New Media category (100,000 residents and over), for the development of a website designed to efficiently answer residents' questions.

FAQ: simple, concrete answers

After having evaluated the best practices in the industry, the Borough opted to create a user-friendly website providing short, satisfactory answers in the form of a dialogue with a representative from the Citizens' Office. To do so, the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) had to be recorded, and clear answers provided, after relevant information was extracted from administrative databases.

"With its 103,000 or so residents and welcoming some 107,000 workers on its territory every day, Saint-Laurent receives over 65,000 requests per year at its Citizens' Office. Through its constant concern for reviewing and revising its methods, and for offering its clientele efficient, high-quality service, Saint-Laurent's FAQ was created, following collaborative efforts between the Citizens' Office and the Borough's Service des communications. I am very proud to see our team recognized province-wide," stated Saint-Laurent Mayor Alan DeSousa.
