URBAN PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE - CITIZENS' REPRESENTATIVE

The arrondissement de Verdun is presently looking for a citizen to serve on the Urban Planning Advisory Committee together with three other citizen-members and two members of the Borough Council, and this, for a two-year (2) term.

 

The main tasks of this Committee is to receive requests for minor exemptions, to study requests pertaining to the zoning by-law as well as the architectural development and integration plan, and, in each case, submit a report to the Borough Council.

 

Furthermore, the said Committee will study all questions pertaining to urban planning matters submitted by the Borough Council or by the Direction de l'aménagement urbain et des services aux enterprises, and report its recommendations to the Borough Council.  The Urban Planning Advisory Committee meets in the evening, at least once a month and, if necessary, a special meeting may be convened by the secretary.

 

Selected candidate must reside in the arrondissement de Verdun and have a very good knowledge of the physical, social and economic backgrounds of the borough.  They must demonstrate an interest regarding urban planning, have experience in teamwork, be willing to learn the urban planning regulations in order to provide a critical analysis of the issues submitted to the Urban Planning Advisory Committee.
