Requests for minor exemption

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, at a regular borough council meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 7 p.m., in the council chamber, room 205, at the borough hall located at 4555 rue de Verdun, said borough council shall render a decision concerning the following requests for minor exemption to the provisions of Zoning By-law 1700, as amended, so as to:

 

1.      allow a semi-detached building at 530 rue De Gaspé (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs) instead of a detached building as required in the grid of uses and standards E03-74;

 

2.      allow the expansion of the building located at 530 rue De Gaspé (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs) with a zero side yard setback whereas the minimum setback required in the grid of uses and standards E03-74 is 5 metres;

 

3.      allow the expansion of the building located at 530 rue De Gaspé (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs) with a zero rear setback whereas the minimum setback required in the grid of uses and standards E03-74 is 10 metres;

 

4.      allow a ground mounted transformer in the front setback at 530 rue De Gaspé (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs);

 

5.      allow 37 parking spaces instead of the required minimum of 45 parking spaces at 530 rue De Gaspé (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs);

 

6.      allow a building located at 260 rue Elgar (Centre communautaire Elgar) with a zero side yard setback instead of the 5-metre minimum setback required in the grid of uses and standards E03-74 for the construction of a passageway between the community centre and the elementary school (École primaire Île-des-Soeurs) further to the school expansion;

 

7.      allow exterior walls exempt of masonry work for the buildings located at 1 to 53 rue des Parulines, 77 to 89 chemin de la Pointe-Sud and 101 to 127 chemin de la Pointe-Sud (Le Domaine du Cloître development project) whereas such masonry is required in the zoning by-law;

 

8.      allow an uncovered side staircase leading to the basement with a 36-cm side yard encroachment at 23 rue Claude-Vivier.

 

 

 

Individuals wishing to be heard by the borough council concerning said requests may do so at the meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 7 p.m.
