Public consultation meeting on draft By-law 1700-56

TO ALL INDIVIDUALS CONCERNED BY DRAFT BY-LAW 1700-56 ENTITLED:  by-law modifying zoning by-law 1700, as amended, so as to:

 

-                      Exclude from the site plan approval process the demolition of burned down buildings, buildings with structural problems and service-stations with the exception of the service-station located at 201 rue Berlioz;

-                      Modify the objective and criteria to examine demolition site plan.

 

NOTICE is hereby given by the undersigned:

 

THAT the borough council, further to the adoption, by resolution, at its special meeting held on September 17, 2007, of first draft by-law entitled: “By-law modifying Zoning By-law 1700, as amended, so as to: 

 

-                      Exclude from the site plan approval process the demolition of burned down buildings, buildings with structural problems and service-stations with the exception of the service-station located at 201 rue Berlioz;

-                      Modify the objective and criteria to examine demolition site plan,

 

shall hold a public consultation meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 6:00 p.m., in room 205 of the borough hall located at 4555 rue de Verdun, in accordance with the provisions of An Act respecting land use planning and development (R.S.Q., c. A-19.1); 

 

THAT the purpose of this modification is to:

 

-                      Exclude from the provision requiring borough council's approval the demolition of burned down buildings, buildings with structural problems and service-stations with the exception of the service-station located at 201 rue Berlioz;

-                      Modify the objective and criteria applicable to demolition requests by assessing their impact on the community and current tenants if case may be;

 

THAT this draft by-law concerns the entire borough territory;

 

THAT during this public consultation meeting, the borough mayor shall explain this draft by-law as well as the consequences of its adoption, and shall hear individuals interested in voicing their opinion on this matter;

 

THAT this draft by-law may be consulted at the borough hall, room 102, 4555 rue de Verdun, during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
