Requests for minor exemption

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, at a regular meeting of the borough council to be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 7 p.m., in the council chamber, room 205, at the borough hall located at 4555 rue de Verdun, said council shall render a decision concerning the following requests for minor exemption to the provisions of Zoning By-law 1700, as amended, so as to:

 

1.      allow a 15-metre rear setback instead of 35 metres as required in the grid of uses and standards H03-117 in the southern tip of L'Île-des-Sœurs district for the new retirement home located in zone H03-117, considering that the rear is next to the ecological golf course;

 

2.      allow the third floor units with no balcony for the new retirement home located in zone H03-117 in the southern tip of L'Île-des-Sœurs district, considering the level of the building is specifically for seniors who have lost their autonomy;

 

3.      allow the use of metal instead of brick or light masonry to conceal the rooftop mechanical units at 48 place du Commerce (Banque Nationale);

 

4.      allow the use of metal instead of brick or light masonry to conceal the rooftop mechanical units at 8 place du Commerce;

 

5.      allow, for the house located at 31 rue de l'Orée-du-Bois Est, a south-side wall without row of bricks above the windows, considering the decorative strip;

6.      allow, for the house located at 9 rue de l'Orée-du-Bois Est, the façade installation of an electrical junction box at a minimum of 2-metre distance from the frontage instead of being on one of the side wall as required;

7.      allow, for the house located at 18 rue de l'Orée-du-Bois Est, the façade installation of an electrical junction box at a minimum of 2-metre distance from the frontage instead of being on one of the side wall as required;

8.      allow, for the house located at 17 rue de l'Orée-du-Bois Est, the west-side siding wall installation of an electrical junction box at 0.75-metre from the façade instead of at a minimum of 2-metre from the frontage wall;

9.      allow, for the house located at 14 rue de l'Orée-du-Bois Est, the masonry details be made with cement brick instead of clay brick;

 

10.    allow, for Sommets sur le fleuve – Phases I to IV, the covering of 2 outdoor pool accessory buildings be made with acrylic concrete board instead of clay brick or stone brick.

 

Individuals wishing to be heard by the borough council concerning said requests may do so at the meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 7 p.m.
