REQUESTS FOR MINOR EXEMPTION

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, at a regular meeting of the Verdun Borough Council to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 7 p.m., in the Council Chamber, room 205, at the Verdun Borough Hall located at 4555 Verdun Street, said Council shall render a decision concerning the following requests for minor exemption to the provisions of Zoning By-law 1700, as amended, so as to:

 

1.      allow, for the new retirement home on Gaétan Laberge Boulevard, a land/built ratio of 0.23 instead of the required minimum of 0.30 in the grid of uses and standards H02-123;

2.      allow 29 parking spaces instead of the required 31 parking spaces for the expansion of l'Étape pavilion of the Douglas Hospital located at 7105 LaSalle Boulevard;

3.      allow the replacement of wood panelling with aluminium siding instead of masonry for Levinschi pavilion of the Douglas Hospital located at 7075 LaSalle Boulevard;

4.      allow a vented aluminium structure instead of brick or light masonry to conceal rooftop mechanical units at 4120 LaSalle Boulevard (St-Hubert Express);

5.      allow the installation of containers at the rear of the Verdun Trade School (centre de formation professionnelle de Verdun) located at 3010 Gaétan Laberge Boulevard to store equipment such as vehicles;

6.      allow a 22o roof pitch for the side expansion at 1609 Crawford Street instead of the required 40o;

7.      allow a 20o roof pitch for the side expansion at 1600 Fayolle Street instead of the required 40o;

8.      allow white aluminium instead of brick for the window trim of the side expansion at 1600 Fayolle Street;

9.      allow wood siding instead of brick for the dormer windows of the house located at 1044 – 2nd Avenue.

Individuals wishing to be heard by the Verdun Borough Council concerning said requests may do so at the meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 7 p.m.
