REQUESTS FOR MINOR EXEMPTION

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, at a regular meeting of the Verdun Borough Council to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 7 p.m., in the Council Chamber, room 205, at the Verdun Borough Hall located at 4555 Verdun Street, said Council shall render a decision concerning the following requests for minor exemption to the provisions of Zoning By-law 1700, as amended, so as to:

 

1.      allow treated wood siding instead of light masonry on the side and rear of the new building's third floor at 432 chemin du Club-Marin;

2.      allow an indoor parking area with 7 separate entrances whereas the maximum required is 2 for Bell Canada campus project, phase 1, in the northern tip on île des Soeurs, considering the scope of the project;

3.      allow a 3-metre high garage door, connected to the indoor loading area, located on the East side of the new building (Bell Canada campus project, phase 1) in the northern tip on île des Soeurs, whereas the maximum required height is 2.25 metres;

4.      allow a 13-metre wide entrance to B-wing of the new building (Bell Canada campus, phase 1) in the northern tip on île des Soeurs, whereas the maximum authorized is 8 metres, considering the scope of the building;

5.      allow the developer to be exempted from providing the 3-metre wide embankment to conceal the outdoor parking area facing A-wing of the new building (Bell Canada campus, phase 1) in the northern tip on île des Soeurs;

6.      allow the developer to be exempted from providing a parking area for trucks since the new building (Bell Canada campus, phase 1) in the northern tip on île des Soeurs, will have an indoor loading area;

7.      allow the developer to start the construction of an underground parking area at the boundary line of the new building (Bell Canada campus, phase 1) in the northern tip on île des Soeurs, instead of 0.75 metre from the boundary line.

Individuals wishing to be heard by the Verdun Borough Council concerning said requests may do so at the meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 7 p.m.
