The new Master Plan : Montréal launches the public consultation

Montréal, April 21 2004 - "I invite Montrealers to participate in the public meetings on the Master Plan by asking questions, making suggestions and sharing their comments with us", declared Montréal Mayor, Mr. Gérald Tremblay, speaking about the public consultation on the draft version of the revised Master Plan that will be held by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) from May 17 to June 22. The Master Plan was approved by the Executive Committee today and will be submitted to City Council at its next meeting on April 26.

"The Master Plan will be the urban planning reference document for the City as well as its private and public partners. The Plan sets out a framework for action to ensure sustainable and harmonious development, increase the importance of public transit and improve the beauty of our City", stated Mr. Robert Libman, Executive Committee member responsible for urban and regional planning.

The OCPM information sessions on the Master Plan will be held from May 17 to June 16, across the City. They will take place at the following dates and times:
