Père-Ambroise Public Library

Housed in the Association sportive et communautaire du Centre-Sud building, the new Père-Ambroise family library opened its doors on January 5, 2009. The library’s adult and youth collections are displayed in an innovative way, using coloured shelving to guide members toward the respective books. The collections are displayed in such a way that adults and youth share the same reading space.

The layout is functional, cheerful and modern, with extra space reserved for persons with a disability. Coloured glass panels and a vibrant green ceiling set a bright tone and energize the space. Most of the reading areas are located near windows, with a view of the park and the adjacent green roof over the swimming and wading pools.
