Grande Bibliothèque – Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec

Located in Montréal’s Latin Quarter, the Grande Bibliothèque welcomes close to 50,000 visitors every week. The library offers a selection of more than 4 million documents on loan and for consultation onsite, including books, magazines, newspapers, films and recordings, and maps and microfilms, as well as the opportunity to explore a wealth of heritage collections. The BAnQ presents hundreds of cultural events annually for the enjoyment of adults and children alike.

Under an agreement reached with Ville de Montréal, the Grande Bibliothèque serves as a central library for Montrealers and municipal libraries. It also provides specialized services to a range of publics, in particular children aged 13 and under, the business community, new arrivals, members of cultural communities and persons with impaired vision or other disabilities.
