One of the best kept secrets in the Montréal area is undoubtedly the shuttle service. At a low cost, you can let yourself be carried away by the current without worrying about traffic, bridge closures and roadworks.

Trips are available from the Old Port of Montréal, the Bellerive (Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve) Promenade, the Maison Beaudry pier (Pointe-aux-Trembles) and the Lachine embarkation pier.

A family trip

This water expedition is ideal for families, and children can enjoy playing sailor for during the 30-minute trip. They can cast off and head to an island to bury their treasure in the sand at the Jean Doré beach (Parc Jean-Drapeau) or Longueuil (Parc Charron).

Navette à l'île Charron

This river outing is an excellent opportunity for children to get acquainted with the aquatic environment and enjoy a breathtaking view on the water. The ride is free for children under 5.

Not just for tourists

The river shuttles aren't just for tourists! During the 2016 season, nearly 120,000 trips were recorded, of which nearly 90% were residents of Montréal and Longueuil.

Cyclists in the region use the shuttle to Île Charron to take advantage of the magnificent bike paths in the Parc des îles de Boucherville (SEPAQ) or to connect to stretches of the Route Verte de la Montérégie.

Navettes maritimes

A 15% discount is offered by SEPAQ on the rental of equipment (bike, kayak, canoe), discovery activities or at the Boucherville Islands Park Boutique when you present your shuttle coupon. Moreover, as soon as Jean-Doré Beach is opened on June 21st, holders of a river shuttle ticket will get a $ 2 discount for beach access.

Many pedestrians use the river shuttle to Parc Jean-Drapeau. This fast and relaxing trip avoids traffic and parking problems during major events such as Osheaga, the FI or Les week-ends du monde.

This is especially relevant this year, given the important infrastructure works that will be held at Parc Jean-Drapeau for the reconstruction of the natural amphitheatre.

Enjoy the ride!

IMPORTANT: Due to the high level of the St. Laurent, the beginning of the season for Navark is delayed by a few days.  The cost of a ride varies from $4.25 to $10 depending on the trip. Check schedules and rates on the Web sites below.
