Experiencing My City

A Spanish look at Montréal

Adrian Morillo is a Spanish photographer who has recently moved to Montréal. His lense takes in everyday details that many people overlook.

For Morillo, this photo, in which a nun scrapes ice from the sidewalk, is a contrast to his contemporary vision of the city. For Quebecers, it evokes a time not so long ago. In fact, if it weren't in colour -- and there weren't traffic lights in the background -- it would be easy to believe the scene came out of the 1940s.
