Did you know that you can rent outdoor equipment in Montréal’s nature parks? It’s a great way to enjoy an outdoor outing with the whole family. Here’s a look at what’s available.

On a beautiful Saturday winter morning, what better place to be than outdoors? But the idea of having to prepare everyone's winter gear can discourage families from going out. Wouldn't it be easier if you could rent the equipment you need? Then, all you have to think about is lunch! Eating outside in the wintertime is lots of fun, and there are also welcome centres at the nature parks where you can eat inside and put on your outdoor gear.

Accessible and affordable packages

You can rent outdoor winter equipment (cross-country skis, snowshoes, sleds and sledding carpets) in four of Montréal's nature parks (Bois-de-Liesse, Cap Saint-Jacques, Île-de-la-Visitation et Pointe-aux-Prairies) through our partner GUEPE.

For as little as $29 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children ages 12 and under), you can go cross-country skiing on trails that are mechanically groomed each day.

Do your kids want to go sledding? It only costs $10 to rent a sled for the day.

Have a look at rental fees and choose the park that suits you best to enjoy your favourite sport!

What can you do in Montréal's parks?

There are a number of organized and solo activities in Montréal's parks. Have you ever taken a walk in snowshoeing on the mont Royal? Wouldn't it be fun to try paraskiing?
