A MILLION TALENTS

Free exhibitions and cultural activities

The Accès Culture network has decided to commemorate Montréal’s 375th anniversary by organizing hundreds of workshops, exhibitions and free arts discovery activities in Montréal’s municipal arts centre. The project is called “One Million Horizons” (1 x 19 = 1 000 000).

Some 32 exhibitions and 23 cultural mediation projects are offered in the arts centres or associated galleries, through September 3. You can discover the work of some 100 artists from a variety of backgrounds, including comics, painting, photography, collage or the intriguing art of collaborative cartography.

Guest commissioner Nathalie Bachand is the mind behind this mega project that showcases activities in all of Montréal’s boroughs. Over the past few weeks, there were even bus routes available for touring the openings, but don’t worry – all the exhibitions are still underway, and many activities are scheduled to begin soon.
