Don’t miss the Montréal History and Heritage Forum at UQAM. You’ll finally learn why Montréal has lanes, unlike most cities, and you’ll learn more about the music of its neighbourhoods, parks and gardens.

From October 26- 28, 2017, the university will offer a wide variety of activities at the Cœur des Sciences de l’UQAM. Booths, talks, film projections, archive documents, poster sessions, demonstrations of digital projects and science walks are among the events on the schedule.

You don’t have to be a member of a historical society or a university scholar working in the field to participate. In honour of Montréal’s 375th anniversary, Montréal’s history specialists have created an activity that is open to all of the city’s history lovers.

The city will be there!

Representatives fromArchives de Montréal, the Centre d’Histoire de Montréal and the Musée de Lachine will present talks over the three days of the forum as well as digital products that they have developed.

Among the booths you won’t want to miss is the Centre d’histoire de Montréal booth that presents its Web projects, “Mémoires des Montréalais” and “Mémoires d’Immigration,” bringing together hundreds of written, audio and visual testimonials that present the patchwork of Montréal’s neighbourhoods.
